Late night on the London Underground with its lights and shapes reminding me of a fairground.

Awesome mono’s, must see!
Thanks for the reblog richpic
Excellent around the bend shots.
I like things that are round the bed… bit like me Elena !
Amazing B & W captures.
Thnaks very much Psycho!
I love these photos although I don’t enjoy traveling on the underground that much as I get very claustrophobic.
I don’t much care for it myself either Janaline..
I love the way that black and white focus you on what’s important. Colour can be a distraction
Very much falling in love with monochrome Rosie.. more to come.
Really love these. Reminds me of happy times in London, feeling so excited and walking in air! 🙂
😀
Carousels come to mind Helen. Excellent mono.
Yep David.. they do don’t they 🙂
Black and white really works well here, creating a negative space that helps guide the eye to the light areas. Reall nice shots.
Thaks benroew.. I was very pleased with these.
There aren’t many stations on the Tube that have this wonderful curve to them. But it’s the curve that makes the picture. Great shot, Helen
Can’t remember which station in is now Andy!
Good photos, Helen! I especially like the top one, I think it emphasises the loneliness of the city dweller – that woman standing forlornly on the platform, which is empty save for one other, totally self-absorbed figure; and then the surrounding darkness and empty railway lines – and to me that line of bright lights, just above the railway tracks, brings a lot to it too. Adrian
Thanks Adrian.. I always appreciate your words.. 😀 My favourite is the 2nd one with all that space..
Kind of like awaiting a joyless carousel, huh? Very effective group!
I was lucky to come upon this station.. such an interesting curvy shape..
I really like these and how you framed them Helen! Nice to see you back….
Nice to be back thanks.. 🙂
amazing photographs, glad i found your blog:)
Thanks Elena and you are most welcome 😀
These are superb images, Helen. Yes, reminiscent of a fairground with those shapes and lights. Your compositions are striking.
