Cambridge Camera Club Exhibition Acceptances

.

As some of you may know I belong to Cambridge Camera Club in the UK. It’s a very big club ,I think membership is capped at 200 and there is a waiting list. A lot of members have  recognised photographic distinctions of one sort or another and the standard very high.

Our exhibition entries have recently gone through selection. You could enter a maximum of 8 in the PDI part across 3 sections – nature, B&W and colour, with a maximum of 4 in any one section.

The projected Digital Images (PDI’s) are chosen by 3 external judges who see each image for only a few seconds before making their choice, so the images have to have impact. Each judge scores out of 5 giving either a 2, 3, 4 or 5 and there is a threshold of the 3 combined scores, for example 12, for acceptance. This is how most exhibitions work.

I was delighted to have 6 of my 8 selected and to be given a Commended for my sheep “In her Winter Coat” image and a Highly Commended for “Kew-under the Hive”

I thought you might like to see them.

I have started posting on Instagram again and can be found here

If you are viewing on a phone you may need to click on “View full site” which will be right at the very bottom of the page, you will then be able to view the photos with a black background, as they should be viewed.

I love to hear what you have to say about anything I post.
