#CloseToHome 84 – Muntjac deer 7 – She Spotted Me
I am currently doing my 2nd 366, it’s another leap year; posting ( not taking!) at least 1 photo every day. My last one was in 2012
There will certainly be variety
This is number 217
Part of my #CloseToHome series.
A few weeks ago I was sitting on a grass path, in waterproof jacket and trousers, watching a pair of hares. I was on my way home because it was spitting with rain, but just thought I’d sit and watch the hares for a few mins.
Something caught my eye to the far right of me and it was this young Muntjac deer walking towards me in a very relaxed carefree way.
I am showing you more photos of it as it got closer and closer to me, until it eventually spots me . Eye level to a young deer is a wonderful thing and I hope you’ll get a feeling of that.
This is the final post and now she has spotted me.
Isn’t she beautiful and so very close – less than 2 metres away.

She didn’t run away as I might have expected but quite nonchalantly moved across in front of me coming even a little closer, took a long look at me, eyeball to eyeball as I sat in front of her and then walked slowly off to the right, into the Rapeseed field; leaving me feeling very privileged to have been so close.
