Tidying up the Fallen

Taken in the Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial in Cambridgeshire, known locally as the American War Cemetery. The wall contains the names of American Service personnel whose bodies were not found, many of them from the US air force . In a few places on the wall, beside a name, you will find a little metal rosette which indicates that persons body was since recovered and they were identified.

I feel the very best way to honour the dead, is to work with every fibre of our being to prevent more war.

If you don’t already know my other blog 1500 Saturdays I hope you’ll pop over and take a look here      I haven’t been posting much there lately but I’m sure you’ll find something to read.
