Lines of light
.
Yesterday I promised you something different so here it is… I was out late on Sunday with my camera and stayed out until it was almost dark… so thought I’d take advantage of the very long road in front of me and try my hand at a few long exposures to capture the vehicle lights.. with my camera on top of the car I might add! …. It was much darker than it looks in the photos and I’m not very skilful but it was fun 😀

Really cool effect, especially with the sunset sky in the background.
Thanks Mike.. I think the sky makes them
Whoa, very different, but fun!
Have to try to keep you all guessing from time to time Elena
Love this. Fast and fun.
Thanks Anna 🙂
I need to get out and get some more light trails… It’s been ages!
I would do them quite differently if I was uot again… longer exposure to catch from the end of the road.. though as it is several miles long that might be difficult, Richard
Haha! 🙂
nice one…
Thanks Mr Nigel
The sky adds a lot to it.
I agree MM it does..
Very nice Helen……
This is one of those projects that I’ve always wanted to try but never got around to.
I really must…..these are so effective .
😀
Thanks Stuart I had been saying I must have a go for ages too.. It would have been better to have chosen a time I wasn’t so tired !
what are the high up ones? aircraft? ufos?
the top of lorries.. I waited for ages for one to come along and then there was one right after another… neat effect I thought Caroline
The sky trails are fun, Helen. Well done.
Thanks Karen.. I need to have a proper go at this when I’m not so tired.. but it was funny and patient waiting for the lorries !
I have always found it amazing that the light stays, yet the moving vehicle or person or whatever is moving does not show in the picture.
I know Michelle I can’t get my head round it either !
I think you’ve shown lots of skill there Helen, cool images!
Thank you Finn you are very kind..
Nifty! Love the improvised tripod idea. I’ll have to try that!
My car is handy for all sorts of things Scilla 😉
Very cool – I love the neon effect of the light trails
Thanks Stevie.. it was fun!
