Portrait of a Day at Wimbledon – Faces in the Crowd

.

You can see my other “Portrait of a Day at Wimbledon” photos here.

.

All of life can be seen in the Wimbledon crowd.. here are just a few of the faces. Oh and it would be great if you could identify the 2 at the bottom !

.

Mother and strikingly beautiful child.

.

Food and phones !

.

.

The old and the new.. I think they were grandmother and grand-daughter

.

I’d love to know what or who she was looking at.. I tried to follow her eyes but to no avail so it remains a mystery..what’s clear is she likes what she sees 😉

.

and finally this pair.. they were sitting just a few rows behind my son and I in the families and entourage seats..  We both thought we should know them and they seemed to be with a Swedish player.

Are they ex-players?   I can’t seem to find out. Do any of you tennis fans recognise them?

Addendum – My son has rightly identified the one on the Left as Thomas Enqvist.. still don’t know the other.

.

.

Now I know some of you will be wondering where are the tennis players… all in good time 😉

.

You can see my other posts with a “Portrait of ” tag here, here and here

  1. Very super shots. You know, before the Williams sisters it would have been rare to see black people at the tennis. Now we have many more black players (LOVE those French guys!!!). Good to see – we are trying to encourage young Miss O 2 to take up tennis!

  2. Great candids Helen, love the little girl with the eyes. She certainly spotted something she fancy’s. Maybe it’s the strawberries ……or possibly the strawberry seller!!! >8-0)
