Somersham Lake 3 – Grasses in the fog

I’m very lucky to have a little lake only a few minutes walk from my house and I go there often. You can see my other Somersham lake posts here and here

Yesterday morning there was thick fog so I thought I’d take a walk down there and see what I could see ( or not as it happened !)

  1. lovely, it’s true that fog makes you see things differently, probably because you can see less in general so you tend to see more detail on the bits you can see.

  2. Excellent shots. It’s odd that we often are aware how fog isolates sounds but we are perhaps less appreciative of how it filters out visual distractions and both simplifies and softens the image. These photos illustrate the point perfectly.

  3. So lovely!!! I can’t decide between 2 or 3 for the favourite, prob. 2; it shows more of the reeds, but the K detail is very touching; very arty 🙂

    • Thanks Marleen and I couldn’t resist the K on account of having a daughter called Katy !! but I prefer the 1st one which has an etherial quality about it I think..
