Somersham Lake 2 – Frosted Grass
In Cambridgeshire we’ve had hardly any frost this winter so on one of the rare days we did get some, about 2 weeks ago, off I went with my camera and took these photos on a lovely sunny day at the lake in Somersham.

impressive, looks like crystal on golden hairs…….
Thanks Soundarya.. Ice crystals are so fascinating.
Ooh, that last one looks like a cluster of gold nuggets. Very sparkly. And you can actually see the individual crystal structure. I still suffer from macro envy…
Macro envy is a very serious condition !! can only be cured by buying one !
These are exquisite! The delicate ice is caught beautifully with the shallow dof. Great work.
Thank you Julia… I’m glad you enjoyed them .. could do with some more ice.. I already love photographing it.
Gorgeous detail and lighting – especially the last!
Thank you KP
Gorgeous Helen!
