The low-key perspective is mysterious and interesting. Like night hikes in the woods…without the flashlight, the reflected light of the moon gives you a sense that you are only half conscious…but are you brave enough to walk forward into the unknown? This is a tradition on our camping trips. Every night, we take a dark walk.
Intersting because this is actually a daylight shot Scilla, I have tricked you
No, I know it’s a daylight shot. You can’t actually photograph night hikes without an infrared lens or something. Even in full moonlight, it’d be tricky and you’d probably need a really long exposure. Funny how our eyes and brains adjust to varying levels of light in a way that cameras can’t.
I should have known there was no fooling you
The water, like constellations. I like the mystery in this.
Interesting interpretations of this Karen, what you percieve as sparkles on the water are in fact leaves in sunlight!
This is a super picture. Excellent low key composition with just a hint of colour and a palpable sense of mystery.
Thanks Louis.. glad you see mystery
looks like a shark coming out the depths of water into a dream, a nice example of textures and atmosphere and artistic interpretation as opposed to sharp imagery
Love your imagination Lisa
Oo that’s something else – you’re getting all dark and mysterious and it works very well indeed. Hope you’re fine! Adrian
I am fine indeed Adrian.. dark and mysterious is good!
